About the program
Join The Barn Retreat, a regenerative farm stay nestled among Coorg’s coffee estates, and experience boutique hospitality from the inside out. Volunteers support event coordination and guest housekeeping while immersing themselves in organic farming, ethical animal care, and rural community life. You’ll help create seamless guest experiences — from preparing for farm-stay events to maintaining warm, welcoming spaces — while learning how sustainable hospitality and regenerative agriculture work hand in hand. Set amid lush greenery and working farmland, this program blends real hospitality skill-building with authentic village life, purposeful travel, and genuine environmental stewardship.
7:00 AM – Wake up, breakfast at the farm
8:00 AM – Morning briefing on the day's guest events and housekeeping priorities
8:30 – 11:30 AM – Housekeeping rounds and guest-space preparation
12:00 PM – Lunch break
1:00 – 3:30 PM – Event coordination support or farm/animal care tasks (rotating based on guest calendar)
3:30 – 4:30 PM – Learning session with host on hospitality operations or farm practices
4:30 PM onward – Free time: estate walks, local exploration, or rest
7:00 PM – Group dinner with farm-fresh ingredients
Evenings – Optional guest event support, bonfire, or storytelling with the host
Support planning and on-ground coordination for guest events (farm dinners, workshops, seasonal gatherings).
Assist with guest housekeeping — room turnovers, cleanliness standards, linen and amenity management.
Help set up and break down event spaces for guest activities.
Support day-to-day farm-stay operations alongside hospitality staff.
Assist with organic farming and animal care tasks as part of the immersive experience.
Help coordinate guest schedules and activity logistics during events or peak season.
Support sustainability practices across housekeeping and event operations (waste reduction, eco-friendly sourcing).
Assist with basic property upkeep to maintain guest-ready standards.
